Fixed Wireless is the future of high speed 4G-5G communication. With the rapid advancement of 4G and 5G technologies, traditional roof antennas that use thick and clumsy coaxial cables have been rendered obsolete with all-in-one smart antenna units.

This evolution has been brought about due to the difficulty in supporting the advanced features of 5G with antenna and cable technologies developed in the 1950s and 60s. Integrating advanced MIMO antenna technologies directly into the RF front end allows the elimination of all these noisy, lossy components, delivering a clean, strong signal directly from the antenna array into the transceiver.

Because the units are connected by a standard Ethernet cable, installation is rapid and simple. In the past it was all too common for a coaxial cable to be damaged in transit, kinked, or squished by an unwitting contractor. This was a major drama unless you had a tech on site with the specialised tooling available to cut and re-terminate the coax.

Installed by a single Ethernet cable and powered by PoE means any sparky or data cabler can confidently install the unit. Should a cable be damaged, replacement ethernet cables and RJ45 connectors can be found in any electrical store. This represents a major reduction to operational risk.
